Aztec Oil & Gas announces appointment of Franklin C. Fisher, Jr. as Chief Executive Officer-Spotlight

In 2012, the United States has experienced an historic abundance of natural gas supplies, due partly to the nation's large supply of shale gas reserves and partly due to the increased prevalence of hydraulic fracking technology.

The national surplus of natural gas has resulted in numerous benefits to individuals throughout the country-including some that might be surprising. According to a recent Huffington Post story, farmers in areas such as New York and Pennsylvania stand to benefit from the large deposits of natural gas that lay underneath their properties. This report has elicited commentary from Aztec Oil & Gas, a crude oil and natural gas producer.

Aztec Oil & Gas President Waylan Johnson says these surprising supplies of natural gas are ultimately a cause for celebration. 'Aztec operates wells in Texas, yet we realize that finding natural gas reserves in other parts of the country is ultimately a boon to us all,' Johnson says. 'New York is not the first place people think of when they think of natural gas production. Meanwhile, the Dakotas are quickly becoming fruitful areas for natural gas exploration. The landscape may be changing, but more domestic fuel production is, in the end, a good thing for America.'
