Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies AS (KOGT), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (KONGSBERG), announces the latest release of the advanced KONGSBERG Riser Management System (RMS), which introduces a number of new features developed to enhance situational awareness and improve data presentation.

RMS is a real-time monitoring and decision support system for safe and optimal operation of drilling and work-over riser systems based on instrumented monitoring of critical parameters. The system is already in use by major operators worldwide. Its ability to provide optimum handling of drilling risers has been enhanced with the release of this new version (R1.7).
