Craig Russell; Commercial Director for OEG Offshore

OEG Offshore has enjoyed a successful start to 2011 with a series of UK and international contract wins worth a combined total of more than £1 million.

The recently secured deals include delivering a Local Electrical Room (LER) to Maersk for use on its Janice platform in the North Sea, three specialist workshop units for GE Hydril, for use in Perth, Australia, and a specialist engineering cabin to Oil Tech for use in West Africa.

OEG has also been contracted by Sub Atlantic to deliver an ROV control cabin as well as two A60 rated cabins for Baker Italy and Baker Atlas. Further deals secured with NOV and Schlumberger will see OEG supply a VSD (Variable Speed Drive) module to each firm.

Craig Russell, commercial director of OEG, said, 'These contracts mark a great start to the year for OEG and will result in strategic restructuring of our manufacturing division. The majority of these deals are repeat business with existing clients, testament to our commitment to providing a high standard of customer service and consistently delivering high quality products that meet our customers' individual needs.

'Providing international support to our clients is a key part of our service and the diverse geographical nature of the contracts we have secured already in 2011 is further evidence that we can deliver high quality products anywhere in the world.'

Craig continued: 'Customer satisfaction has been, and will continue to be, a major focus for OEG. This was demonstrated during our first venture into the renewables sector with Siemens and the London Array offshore windfarm project in 2010. It was a great success, with high quality units delivered on time, and as part of our ongoing support to this client, we are in the process of carrying out final commissioning work, which is expected to be completed this month.'
