Offshore container manufacturer and supplier OEG Offshore (OEG) has been awarded a £100,000 ($160,000 USD) contract to provide containers for worldwide use for US deepwater drilling contractor Diamond Offshore.

OEG’s Aberdeen office will supply 10ft units on an ongoing build-to-order basis, with each container completed to an internationally-recognised DNV standard, enabling them to be shipped anywhere in the world.

OEG’s operations director, Ross Baird, said: “We are pleased to be working with Diamond Offshore on this exciting project and hope to forge a long-term relationship that will see us working on other projects with them in the future.

“We provide our clients with an international service and this means that our products have to be built to a standard that is recognised and accepted anywhere in the world. Building these containers for Diamond Offshore to a DNV standard specification ensures that they are fit for purpose, regardless of which location they are ultimately shipped to.

“Our global network of offices, agents and on-the-ground fleets of units means that the required products can then be delivered quickly and cost-effectively to wherever in the world the client requires. This is part of OEG’s commitment to providing a joined-up response to its clients from start to finish.”
