Origin Energy, on behalf of the T/44P Joint Venture, advises that at 1000 hrs, Silvereye 1 drilled to its Total Depth of 2,318.2mRT. The well was drilled by the semisub Kan Tan IV.

The well has not encountered any significant indications of hydrocarbons and will be plugged and abandoned.

Well type and location

Silvereye 1 is an exploration well located in exploration permit T/44P, operated by Origin some 65km west-south-west of the Yolla gas field.

Silvereye 1 is a deviated well. The final surface location is:

Latitude: 39° 54’ 19.825” S Longitude: 145° 03’ 32.641” E

The primary objectives were Paleocene and Cretaceous sandstones within the Eastern View Coal Measures.
