Petrobras informs that its average daily production in January 2010 was 2,525.8 thousand barrels of oil equivalent (boed), 1% lower than the production in December 2009 (2,551.4 thousand boed).
The Company's average oil and NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) production in Brazil was 1,973 thousand barrels per day (bpd), 14 thousand bpd less than the previous month, primarily due to preventive maintenance of three platforms in Campos Basin (PCE-1, P-08 and FPSO-MLS). The average natural gas production, excluding the liquefied volume, was 49.5 million cubic meters per day (m3/d), lower than December production due to demand fluctuations.
In the International segment, the average oil and NGL was 147.7 thousand boed, 1,8% below the December level and it was impacted by the wells workover in the Akpo field. The natural gas production was stable (15.9 million m3/d).
