Petrobras announces oil and natural gas commercial viability in 19 areas in the Espírito Santo, Campos, and Santos Basins-Spotlight

Petrobras, with regards the news concerning the stoppage of the platform P-33, in the Campos Basin, requested by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), Petrobras clarifies that it has not been notified by ANP and that it has no knowledge of the data the Agency obtained during the inspection carried out on the rig on August 11 and 12. The Company was surprised by the press reports, since the Agency itself acknowledged in a statement that "a series of non-compliances the ANP identified have already been remedied."

As soon as it is informed of the content of the decision, Petrobras is willing to immediately adopt all the agency's technical recommendations as soon as possible.

Petrobras reasserts that it undertakes all of its activities pursuant to a strict Health, Safety, and Environment policy. Furthermore, it also imposes technical strictness in aspects related to equipment and employee training.

All procedures adopted by the Company meet the demands made by regulatory agencies such as the Brazilian Navy, the ANP, IBAMA, and classification societies, among others. This policy applies to all segments and areas where Petrobras operates, whether on offshore platforms, at refineries or onshore and offshore terminals or in pipeline operations.
