Petrobras reported that the company's Board of Directors elected Mr. José Eduardo de Barros Dutra to serve as Corporate and Services Director.

Mr. José Eduardo de Barros Dutra graduated in geology from the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro). He was Petrobras CEO from January 2003 to July 2005, also serving as a member of the company’s Board of Directors and as Petrobras Distribuidora Director. From September 2007 to August 2009, he was the CEO of Petrobras Distribuidora S.A. – BR. He also worked as a geologist at Petrobras Mineração S.A. – Petromisa from 1983 to 1990 and at the company Vale do Rio Doce from 1990 to 1994. Additionally, Mr. José Eduardo was chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrobras Gás S.A. – Gaspetro; Petrobras Transporte S.A. – Transpetro; Petrobras Química S.A. – Petroquisa; Petrobras Energia S.A. – Pesa; and Liquigás Distribuidora S.A.

The new office will be responsible for the following areas: organization, management and governance; human resources; safety and Environment, energy efficiency and health and shared services.
