Pixavi launches intrinsically safe digital camera & camcorder

The demand for a high quality, intrinsically safe camera / camcorder is very noticeable in the market today. Having brought ruggedized, Ex certified cameras to the worldwide market since 1999, Pixavi is now proud to present the ATEX and IECex Zone1 and Zone 2, Xcorder EX4000 camera to the market

The Pixavi Xcorder EX4000, a Zone 1 and Zone 2 certified camera and camcorder, brings to market a durable technology to customers within chemical plants, oil and gas installations, shipyards, mines, production environments and other areas, requiring strictly certified electronic equipment.

Featuring a high end CMOS sensor, with ability to capture 8 megapixel high quality still images, and record High Definition 720p video on to either internal memory storage or wirelessly to a network share, it is a perfect tool to be utilized in very harsh and rugged environments. Its excellent low light capability and the flash / video light makes it suitable for virtually any lighting conditions

Pixavi CEO/CTO, Christian Rokseth states: “We have seen the increasing demand for this type of product, evolving gradually over the last years. The market has been requesting a higher end Digital Still Image camera that also has HD video capabilities along with wireless features. Using our expertise within Camera hardware and software design, Ex certification, and ruggedized wireless video communication systems, we have designed a product that surpasses any other solution out there. The Xcorder EX4000 is a great complement to the existing innovative product offerings from Pixavi, such as the EX5000, EX6000, EX35000 wireless communication products as well as our Ex certified wireless networking products.”

Pixavi Sales Director, Thomas Zaubi explains: “Zone 1 certification provides optimum flexibility for our customers. Combining the wireless features with High definition video recording, 8 megapixel photo capability and lightweight ergonomic design, the Pixavi Xcorder EX4000 will impact work processes around the world."
