Proserv

Proserv celebrates big contract with Advance Production & Loading (APL). Among several national and international bidders, Proserv has been awarded a contract by Advance Production & Loading AS (BW Offshore Company) for design, manufacturing and supply of a Chemical Distribution Panel that is intended for the turret system of the Cascade and Chinook FPSO.

Petrobas America Inc is the Operator of the field. The distribution panel will be used to inject various chemicals including methanol and will be connected to the umbilical interface for subsea chemical injection.

Proserv is very experienced with high pressure and can deliver a compact panel that allows rated working pressure up to 1035 bar. All parts that are used are from the well-known high pressure supplier Autoclave Engineers. The distribution panel is very complex and are built on many years experience within these high pressure components. Proserv´s Operation Manager, Satyajit Kar Ray emphasizes that the design is optimised to fit the limited space on board on the ship. Together with short delivery time this was the main reason for Proserv was preferred.

The project has a fixed duration of 10 years with option for a further five years. Proserv will deliver the distribution panel in the beginning of next year and start-up for the project is planned in March. For Proserv the impact this panel will have is substantial. It will further enhance the Group´s reputation as a provider of some of the most innovative and high-quality chemical injection systems in the industry and the proud engineers hope that this delivery contract will lead to more business in the future.
