qedi has bolstered its business development team to reinforce the company's growing global footprint. Sally Hayles has been appointed business development director with Stephanie Law taking up the role of business development coordinator.
Both will be based at qedi's Aberdeen headquarters and focus on the company's ambitious growth plans by building on the success of its high value consultancy services and industry-recognised technology as well as its impressive portfolio of international projects.
Sally, who has an impressive track record in global oil and gas business strategies and technology, will drive forward qedi's global growth by further strengthening the company's international profile and developing client relationships.
Previously VP of global sales for Atlas Interactive, Sally was instrumental in winning numerous high profile, large value significant projects during her seven years with them. She joined Atlas Interactive, initially as business development executive and then business development manager before progressing to VP Global Sales, and has extensive experience of working overseas including Australia, Malaysia, Europe, Algeria and the Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Atlas Interactive in 2003, Sally was a training and development specialist with Accenture which is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company.
Sally, who graduated from Aberdeen's Robert Gordon University with a 2-1 honours in public policy and management, said: 'qedi is a dynamic company which has enjoyed tremendous growth in an extremely niche market and this has resulted in significant scope for further expansion. I look forward to capitalising on these opportunities and being involved in the next exciting chapter of the company's evolution to ensure its continued and future success.'
Stephanie will work alongside Sally, implementing both her business development and marketing skills to further enhance qedi's international offering. Joining qedi from Atlas Interactive, where she was business development administrator, MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training) administrator and events coordinator, Stephanie also brings a wealth of oil and gas and technology experience.
Having graduated from Robert Gordon University with a BA degree in media studies, Stephanie was instrumental in the roll out of the MIST experienced worker programme for Atlas Interactive and liaising with clients throughout the UK. She was also responsible for organising all conferences and events that Atlas attended, both in the UK and overseas.
qedi has rapidly become a world-leading provider of commissioning and technology solutions through its integrated approach and pioneering GO Technology© hub of specialist project management software. GO Technology© has rapidly become industry standard for ensuring technical and asset integrity, having been endorsed by a rapidly increasing number of industry operators and engineering and procurement companies as industry best practice for completions, commissioning and start-up.
The international success of qedi, which was recently acquired by international engineering and project management company AMEC, has resulted in qedi working on more than 40 major capex and operational oil and gas projects worldwide. Most recently, the company expanded its reach in Australia after being awarded its first contract on a coal seam gas storage project in Queensland.
Managing director of qedi, Stuart McLeod, said, 'As qedi enters a vibrant new era, it is vital that we consolidate our position for future global expansion and strengthening our business development team is fundamental to this. Attracting someone the calibre of Sally, together with the solid support of Stephanie, adds an exciting new dimension to the company - one which I am confident will be a key catalyst for ensuring qedi continues to meet and exceed its ambitious vision for growth.'
