Santos - Oyong phase-2 in Indonesia

Santos says that Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Peter Wasow will retire from the company at the end of 2010 following eight years service in the role.

Santos Chief Executive Officer David Knox paid tribute to Mr. Wasow as a key member of the management team that has focussed on building Santos into a leading energy company in Australia and Asia.

"Peter has worked with enthusiasm and commitment over his career with Santos and I would like to recognize his strong contribution to this company. I look forward to working closely with Peter over the remainder of this year as we implement the funding strategy for the GLNG project."

Mr. Wasow will remain in his role until the end of the year or until a successor is appointed to enable an orderly transition of his key responsibilities.

Santos has commenced an executive search to identify an appropriate successor to Mr. Wasow.
