Norway-based oilfield services outfit Aker Kvaerner has won a “framework” sub-sea services contract with Shell in the North Sea worth up to £30 million ($59 million) over five years.
The deal streamlines controls delivery and services, including aftermarket services, into one contract arrangement.
Aker Kvaerner Subsea’s Aberdeen offices wil coordinate the controls-systems work, as it does for similar operations in Australia, Brazil, Norway and the Gulf of Mexico, a statement said.
