Laggan-Tormore Project-2

Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (KONGSBERG), is pleased to announce a significant contract award from Total E&P Ltd and Dong E&P (UK) Ltd for the supply of a sophisticated Operator Decision Support system for the Laggan-Tormore project.

The contract is for the design, build, installation, training and support of a Production Management System (PMS) and an Overall Flow Metering System (OFMS) that will be based at the Shetland Gas Plant processing terminal.

The PMS is a dynamic model of the 140 km production pipelines and gas processing facilities that allows operators to understand and predict process behaviour to ensure safe and efficient production. To manage the liquids inventory and particularly the MEG inhibitor close loop system and its regeneration, it is critical to have such a high fidelity model, especially as this is the largest such system in the TOTAL group. The dynamic models will use the latest version of LedaFlow®, the new transient multiphase flow simulator that has been developed jointly by KONGSBERG and Total.
