Norway-based survey outfit Petroleum Geo-Services has won a $100 million job for a summer of North Sea seismic in 2009 under contract with Norwegian oil company StatoilHydro.
So-called 4D surveys will the the work of a new S-Class Ramform vessel, and on some of the work, deeper images of North Sea geology will be obtained by running a new type of deep-running streamer.
