Norway-based independent Revus Energy has announced the bringing in of a partner onto promising acreage in the Norwegian North Sea.
Spring Energy has signed on for a 30 percent equity stake in PL 344, where it has already “de-risked” several “prospects and leads” as a prelude to the deal announced Tuesday.
Spring acquired an electromagnetic survey across the western stretch of the license. The company will also spring for Revus’s costs on a first exploration well by year-end 2009.
Meanwhile, Revus has flagged the arrival of the Transocean 704 semi-submersible drill rig at the Cladhan field in the U.K. North Sea, where an exploration well is being prepared for Block 210/29a.
Operator Sterling Resources (40 percent) is joined at Cladham by Revus (40 percent), Encore Petroleum (16.6 per cent) and Dyas UK Ltd. (10 percent).
