Edit page New page Hide edit links U.K. independent Dana Petroleum has reported gas and light oil at the Fulla prospect offshore Norway, where a StatoilHydro-operated well has pointed to commercial hydrocarbons. The side-track 30/11-7A, Fulla’s No. 2 well, went in just 10 kilometres northeast of the Frigg field in the North Sea, where Fulla No. 1 found gas in so-called Brent stone. Early Tuesday, Dana said it could have 105 million barrels of oil equivalent at Fulla, where the bit was sunk deep — over 4 km below the waves — by the Transocean Leader semi-submersible rig. Development by tie-back to nearby infrastructure is already being considered. Fulla in license PL 352 off Norway is operated by StatoilHydro (50 percent), Svenska Petroleum (25 percent), Det norske oljeselskap (15 percent) and Dana with 10 percent. |
