TTS Marine Cranes capture $45M Asia orders

Norwegian yard interests in TTS Marine Cranes of Bergen have reported the signing of two contracts for cranes worth a combined 250 million kroner ($45 million).

Sekwang Heavy Industries Co. of Ulsan South Korea and China Oilfield Services of Beijing signed on with TTS in their respective corporate headquarters. TTS Marine’s offshore cranes division will deliver the large 250-tonne (capacity) marine cranes by the end of 2011.

The cranes are equipped with wave-compensating equipment suggesting use in sub-sea developments.
