Standard Exploration Ltd. has drilled the first of two wells as per its previously-stated commitment. Standard has also commenced operations on the second well and that the Standard is on track to meet its flow-through obligations prior to December 31, 2012.

Standard announces that it has accepted the resignations of Mr. Stan Grad and Mr. Grant Wierzba from its board of directors. The remaining directors would like to thank Mr. Grad and Mr. Wierzba for their service to the Company. The remaining directors are: Ron Wiebe (also President and Chief Executive Officer), Robert Mason, Patrick Powell, Brian Korney and John McGilvary. Standard will not be seeking replacements for the departing directors.
