Stratex Oil & Gas Holdings, Inc. has leasehold interests in 60,000 gross and 6,000 net acres in Sioux County, Nebraska. Stratex acquired this acreage with the anticipation that an unconventional shale play may develop and Stratex could participate as a non-operating working interest partner.
Stratex recently learned that on February 17th 2013, Fidelity E&P (a subsidiary of MDU resources Group Inc.) received a permit to drill a horizontal well (CATTLE #1-1H) in the Pennsylvanian formation in Sioux County, Nebraska. Stratex will continue to monitor the drilling and exploration progress in Sioux County, Nebraska in order to assess the viability of its leasehold.
