Strike Energy Limited has appointed Mr. Derrick O'Keeffe as an executive director of the company, responsible for operations, effective 13 May 2010.

Mr O'Keeffe joined the company in November 2009 as Chief Operating Officer. He has over 28 years' upstream and downstream experience in the oil & gas and energy sector in Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. Mr O'Keeffe has a degree in Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. He brings outstanding commercial and technical expertise to his role as operations director of Strike's operations. Mr O'Keeffe has previously held executive director and senior management roles with Australian and international companies.

The Strike Energy board believes that with his strong oil & gas industry experience, Mr O'Keeffe will make a significant contribution to the future success of Strike Energy as it expands in Australia and the United States.

The board welcomes Mr O'Keeffe and looks forward to a long and successful relationship.
