Datum360, supplier of software solutions & services to help Oil & Gas companies specify, capture and manage engineering information for capital intensive projects, has announced 3D model integration and other increased functionality, for its PIM360 and CLS360 ‘Software-as-a-Service’ Engineering Information Solutions.
The new features makes it much easier for Information Management professionals to ensure the completeness, accuracy, consistency and timeliness of all their engineering data, so that it is ‘As It Should Be’. These enhancements are part of a continuous programme of product development and include:
§ Real-time integration with 3D modelling provides an intuitive navigation path between the 3D model, tag data and associated documents. This provides a highly visual and iterative approach to managing data and is particularly useful for investigations and training.
§ Direct interaction with the Navisworks™ 3D model allows users to navigate the model, click on an item, such as a pump, then drill down to the PIM360 data and see all the tag information, documents, attributes and other plant data
§ An enhanced insight into project completion metrics together with a detailed feedback mechanism of data completeness & quality, encourages user engagement with their data leading to improved data governance. New features allow users to: summarise data volume and completeness; chart the progress of project metrics and provide a drill down from KPIs to the engineering data.
Further enhancements provide new Class Library functions to increase standardisation and data quality and improvements in deployment and in handling the massive amounts of data required for Oil & Gas installations.
Steve Wilson, Chief Executive of Datum360 said, “These announcements significantly increase the capabilities of our PIM360 and CLS360 information management solutions and provide increased confidence and assurance for Engineering Information.”
