Transvac Systems

Ejector technology specialist, Transvac Systems, have been awarded a major contract by FMC technologies for the supply of pressure boosting and flushing Jet Pumps for Petrobras’ Marlim subsea separation project.

This is not the first time FMC has turned to Transvac for a custom designed ‘Ejector Solution’. The relationship began with the highly successful TORDIS project – the World’s first full-field subsea separation system with boosting and injection, for which Transvac supplied a super duplex Ejector.

Transvac Jet Pumps for Marlim include special ceramic wear resistant internals and will undergo full flow performance mapping using Transvac’s R&D facility flow loop system.

The Marlim Project consists of a subsea separation system designed to separate water from oil, gas and sediments and re-injects the separated water into the water reservoir. The oil, gas and sediments are then routed to the host platform topside.

The separation system will be installed in Marlim field, which is located in Campos Basin at a water depth of 870m.
