Tocardo International, the leading producer of hydro-power turbines, has closed a deal to sell 25 of its T100 water turbines to Glow Tech Solutions of Nepal.

The patented turbines will be installed in Nepal’s fast-flowing rivers to produce electricity. Together they have a capacity of 2.5 MW. The Dutch hydro-power specialist is currently the only company in the world commercially marketing mass-produced water turbines to generate power in rivers and sea currents.

Glow Tech Solutions, a renewable energy specialist based in the Nepalese region of Lalitpur, acquired licenses to install water turbines with a total capacity of 10MW in Nepal.
