Tracerco, part of the FTSE 100 Johnson Matthey Plc, will be previewing an exclusive video demonstration of the latest trails of its ground breaking new subsea CT scanner, TRACERCOTM Discovery, at Offshore Europe this September.
Visitors to Tracerco’s stand (2A140) at Offshore Europe will be able to witness an exclusive world’s first preview of Discovery undertaking a series of successful final stage trials in The Highlands where this pioneering technology was tested. The video will enable spectators to observe the revolutionary new Discovery device inspecting a selection of different piping systems. It demonstrates Discovery’s trailblazing ability to provide a 360 degree, high resolution scan of the condition of unpiggable pipes, pipe-in-pipe and pipe bundle systems without any need to remove pipe insulation or interrupt production, providing unique insight on asset integrity on flow assurance issues.
Keijo Kinnari, of Statoil, has worked closely with Tracerco during the technology development programme, he said:
