The Board of Directors of Trident Resources Corp. and Trident Exploration Corp. declares that Mr. Alan Withey was recently hired as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Withey brings over 16 years of industry experience to Trident previously working with Devon Energy Corporation, Pioneer Natural Resources Canada, and most recently with Ironhorse Oil & Gas Inc. Over the past 6 years, Alan has held the Chief Financial Officer position in two junior public oil & gas companies in Canada. Mr. Withey holds the following professional designations - Chartered Accountant (Alberta), Certified Public Accountant (Illinois) and Certified Financial Planner (Canada).

During 2007, Trident participated in the drilling of 157 new wells or horizontal legs. This coupled with the tie-in of certain wells drilled in previous years contributed to the connection of 175 new wells or horizontal legs for production in the year. The Company's net production for the year ended December 31, 2007 approximated 98 mmcf/d, a 37% increase from 2006. Approximately 90% of the total company working interest gas sales are derived from coal bed methane ("CBM") formations split between Mannville coal and Horseshoe Canyon coal.
