Triton Group - ROV

Subsea technology and services firm Triton Group will unveil the latest generation ROV during Europe’s largest oil and gas show with a launch event at its Aberdeen service centre on September 9.

The Aberdeen-headquartered group, which completed its ninth acquisition in deals totaling more than £100million since its formation in 2007, will reveal the Triton® XLR to customers during an open day at its Blackburn premises.

Designed and manufactured by world leading supplier of remotely intervention technologies and Group company, Perry Slingsby Systems, the XLR is the latest evolution of the successful Triton series and ‘baby brother’ to the heavy-duty XLX.

The 125HP vehicle has been designed for drill and light construction work and incorporates the latest controls technology, the revolutionary ICE™ Integrated real-time Control Engine, intuitive graphic user interface and ergonomic pilot control consoles with touch screen technology.

Martin Anderson, chief executive of Triton Group said: “The Triton XLR is the next step in the evolution of subsea systems which started with the XL. Our aim was to create an innovative system which offers the utmost in efficiency and reliability for the lightweight end of the market.

“The industries in which we operate are in a state of continual change and the requirement for new design and engineering innovations is constant. Market driven research and development underlies all of our current and potential future products, ensuring our expertise is applied to the areas today, which will take our business - and our customers business - to where it needs to be tomorrow.

“PSS has led the industry in all respects and continues to do so today with advanced, robust and dependable ROVs in the world. The XLR is the latest in a series of Triton Group innovations to be launched in recent months - all with the aim of refining subsea operations and saving our offshore clients time and money.”
