Vestas - wind turbine

Vestas has received an order from E.ON Vind Sverige AB for delivery of 16 units of the V90-2.0 MW wind turbine. The order has a total capacity of 32 MW to be installed in Nybro, Lilla Edet and Öringe. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to be completed in 2011. The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines and a two-year service agreement.

'It is with great pleasure we announce this order today', says Klaus Steen Mortensen President of Vestas Northern Europe. 'E.ON is one of the main players in the energy sector and we are very satisfied with the trust that E.ON has shown in us for these three projects. The V90-2.0 MW turbine is a model with proven technology and it is perfect for the wind conditions in the southern parts of Sweden. The site in Nybro will consist of ten turbines with a tower height of 125 metres each, which means they will be the tallest Vestas turbines installed in Sweden so far'.
