Cooper Energy report that the Christies-6 appraisal/development well in PPL 205 spudded at 18:00 on Wednesday 30 May 2012. The current operation is drilling ahead in the surface hole at 90 metres.

Christies-6 is an appraisal/development well on the Christies Oil Field and is targeting the mid-Namur oil reservoir in an-undrained part of the field 0.11 km to the west of the Christies-1 discovery well.

The well will be drilled to a total depth of about 1,687 metres and is expected to take approximately 10 days to drill and complete. It is expected that Christies-6 will accelerate production as well as draining previously unaccessed reserves.
