MEO Australia has been advised by Eni Australia, as operator of permit NT/P68, that acquisition of the Bathurst 3D seismic survey covering the Blackwood East structure has been completed. The survey vessel M/V Veritas Viking II was released on January 5 2012. A total of 766 sq km of 3D data was acquired.

The survey was acquired pursuant to a farm-in agreement with Eni Australia dated May 17 2011, inder which Eni had the option to earn a 50% interest in the Blackwood gas discovery by acquiring a minimum 500 sq km 3D seismic survey over the Blackwood area and drilling one exploration well. Eni has 365 days from the date of completion of the 3D seismic survey to elect whether or not to drill the Blackwood-2 well.
