Sub-sea supplier contractor Aker Solutions has won a contract to supply Brazil’s much-touted Santos Basin with subsea trees and controls for the country’s first dive into the deep pre-salt.

The € 45 million contract award is billed as recognition of Aker Solutions’ high-temperature, high pressure equipment. The Norwegian Sea features similar deep geological conditions.

Nine vertical subsea trees for 2,500 water depths and spares are included in the order.
