Baker Hughes Incorporated declares that the international rig count for November 2008 was 1,096, unchanged from the 1,096 counted in October 2008, and up 104 from the 992 counted in November 2007.
Interesting statistics on the rig count. Just want to clarify if the count is per location of the rig or if it is basd on ownership of the rig irrespective of location. Why are the more rigs in the US than the rest of the world. Why is there a mismatch between oil and gas production and the distribution of rigs.
