Statoil to extend lifetime of Norne field to 2030

Initially scheduled to be shut down during 2014, the ambition is now to extend the life of the Norne field to 2030. The Norne field came on stream on 6 November 1997, and the initial development plans called for the field to be shut down during 2014. But the Norne adventure is far from over.
