Transocean opens new Global Training Center in Macae, Brazil

Transocean Inc. awarded contracts for three Semisubmersible rigs-Spotlight

The company’s state-of-the-art training center officially opened Tuesday in Macaé, Brazil, an investment that furthers Transocean’s commitment to developing its people, who are helping customers find and develop Brazil’s rich petroleum reserves.

Located in Macaé‘s busiest industrial center, the spacious and modern new center provides the latest in technology and teaching in the offshore drilling business.

“Our people’s passion and commitment to excellence really shines through at this outstanding facility,” said Steven Newman, Transocean Ltd. President and Chief Executive Officer. “It features the most advanced equipment and experienced instructors and staff, so that everyone who comes here will get the most educational benefit.”
