AMEC awarded Slovakian nuclear contract

AMEC plc

AMEC has been awarded a contract by Skoda JS for supply of the decontamination and remotely operated equipment for its ENEL new build programme the at Mochovce nuclear power plant in Slovakia.

The one year contract, the value of which has not been disclosed, starts immediately and has been won by AMEC's Slovakian business, which is a leading expert in decontamination and radioactive waste management and is a long-term supplier of decontamination equipment for all Slovak and Czech VVER pressurized water reactor units.

Pavol Stoller, Director (Central Europe) for AMEC's Consulting and Engineering business, said, 'This important strategic contract further enhances AMEC's position as a strong partner for a variety of utilities in Central Europe. The skills and technology we have available throughout AMEC will be of huge benefit in delivering to the customer's satisfaction.'
