The Singaporean subsidiary of Aberdeen-headquartered oil services group, OEG Offshore, has enjoyed a successful first exhibit at Oil & Gas Asia 2011.

OEG Asia Pacific PTE Ltd (OEG APac) – which specialises in the design, build and rental of A60 cabins and cargo-carrying units for the offshore oil and gas market – was one of more than 1,400 companies showcasing their services and products last week (June 01 - 03) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia.

The three day event was attended by OEG APac’s management team, who have recently opened a 5,000 square feet yard in Labuan, East Malaysia, in response to increasing demand for readily available units in the region.

OEG APac’s Regional Director, John Aw, said: “Our first exhibit at OGA was a fantastic success and we handled many customer enquiries, particularly for our A60 cabins and customised workshops, as well as securing several rental deals. As a result of the interest shown at the exhibition, we have forged a number of important business relations that we hope to develop further over the coming weeks.

“At OEG APac, we focus on delivering to the customer as and when they require units. We have already established a strong client base in Malaysia and our decision to open a yard at Labuan was driven by a high demand for our products in the region, particularly from our customers for readily available units that can be quickly mobilised. Having this new facility will enhance our ability to deliver quality products and services on a global level, wherever OEG’s clients require them and we expect to see even more demand for our units once they arrive on-site.”
