Leading oil and gas industry body, the Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association (ICoTA) European Chapter is set to host a one-day seminar of technical presentations from coiled tubing and well intervention specialists in Norway.

Among the nine companies exhibiting at the event, Red Spider Technology will focus on the way in which the next generation of intelligent down-hole flow control equipment can be used to reduce rig time and operational risk. Schlumberger will present two new cable technologies and discuss the technical benefits, which include increased efficiency and HSE improvements during electric line and slickline operations.

Other exhibitors include P I Intervention, a Norwegian-based oil service company, set to host an overview of retrievable packer solutions, while EV Offshore will present an update of its state-of-the-art downhole camera technology.

Read Well Services will discuss the verification of sliding side door manipulation, while Weatherford will address the way in which the pilot installation of a retrofit gas lift system can restore a well to production in order to allow the continued recovery of stranded gas.

The latest in a series of events held by ICoTA to date, The 6th Well Intervention Seminar will be held at the Radisson Blu Atlantic Hotel in Stavanger on May 31, with a networking reception following the technical programme and a formal dinner in the evening.
