The 20th international

Oil Field Chemistry Symposium

22-25  March 2009, Geilo, Norway

The unique event for oilfield chemists and engineers !

High Technical Quality
The symposium has an established tradition of combining high quality technical discussions with the opportunity to network, in a relaxed environment, with colleagues from all areas of the industry - manufacturers, service companies, operators, research institutions and academia.

Growing challenges
The attraction of the symposium is that it combines presentations ranging all the way from fundamental research to field experience and case histories. With a continued focus on the use of environmentally acceptable chemicals, reduced, or even zero, discharge and operations in extreme conditions the challenges faced by our section of the industry continue to grow; this means that the solutions we implement must be more creative whilst at the same time having a sound technical basis.

The chance to gain and share experience in a forum such as the Oil Field Chemistry symposium is, therefore, invaluable for the industry.

Topics for 2009
Topics on hydrates were particularly welcome by the committee due to the chosen theme of the Short Course. That results in various presentation on hydrates the first part of day one. Other main topics will be Glycol Systems Challenges, Scale, Process and Water Injection Challenges and finally Reservoir, Scale and Stimulation.

Short Course – Natural Gas Hydrates
Symposium offers a short course on the Sunday prior to the symposium. The short course is a 5 hours course and the topics varies from year to year and is on actual and challenging topics for the industry.

Great Networking Opportunities
As mentioned previously the format of the symposium and the excellent mixture of personnel represented is an unique opportunity for business relations
