With a continued focus on the use of environmentally acceptable chemicals, reduced, or even zero, discharge and operations in extreme conditions the challenges faced by our section of the industry continue to grow; this means that the solutions we implement must be more creative whilst at the same time having a sound technical basis.

Topics for 2009
Topics on hydrates were particularly welcome by the committee due to the chosen theme of the Short Course. That results in various presentation on hydrates the first part of day one. Other main topics will be Glycol Systems Challenges, Scale, Process and Water Injection Challenges and finally Reservoir, Scale and Stimulation.
Short Course – Natural Gas Hydrates
Symposium offers a short course on the Sunday prior to the symposium. The short course is a 5 hours course and the topics varies from year to year and is on actual and challenging topics for the industry.
