Offshore Europe welcome Aberdeen Football Club players and mascot

Two professional footballers from Aberdeen Football Club (AFC) and the club’s mascot Angus the Bull, joined the Acergy team at Offshore Europe to sign footballs and give away signed football strips as part of a daily competition for delegates and visitors at Offshore Europe.

Defenders, Zander Diamond (22) and Lee Mair (27) attracted a massive crowd of people as hundreds flocked to get a signed football from the young first team players.

Acergy is the first company to sponsor the home and away shorts of a Scottish Premier League (SPL) football club. The two year deal sees the Acergy logo appear on the front of the playing shorts of all the club’s professional teams. Acergy also appears on the club’s TV media backdrop boards, website and on the shirt of club mascot Angus the Bull.

Tim Sheehan, Managing Director of Acergy UK Limited said: “Our thanks go to Zander and Lee who took time out from their hectic training schedule to join the Acergy squad at Offshore Europe. We were amazed at how many people visited the stand to catch a glimpse of their football heroes and receive a signed football. They were certainly very popular with the local and international delegates.”
