projectiondesign® is taking its FR12 Remote Light Source™ (RLS) projector to one of the world’s leading oil and energy industry meeting events, ONS.

The FR12 will be shown on stand J944 integrated within a ErgoDesk® Multifunctional Industrial Workstation (MIW) – a highly configurable operator console from control room furniture specialists, Suveren Rørmøbelfabrikk AS.

A true and unique innovation in projection technology, the FR12 projector relocates the lamps from the projector to a rack-mount enclosure up to 30 meter (100ft) away from the projector head. Light from a rack-mounted RLS illuminates the projector head via a Liquid Light Guide (LLG). The result is a compact, ruggedized, virtually maintenance-free projector head with completely silent operation, perfect for fitting into compact control room installations.

The FR12 is integrated easily within the ErgoDesk® MIW is a for efficient process monitoring. As Terje Bakkeli, Director at Suveren Rørmøbelfabrikk AS explains: “Unlike other products in the oil and gas market, this console incorporates a super-wide seamless curved screen to enable maximum clarity and readability, while also minimising stress and fatigue to the operator’s neck and shoulders. The innovation at the centre of this console is the FR12 remote light source projectors which promise compact, ruggedized, completely silent and virtually maintenance-free viewing for 24/7 operations directly from our ErgoDesk®MIW.”
