Lukoil delivers the first shipment of humanitarian aid to the Ministry of Petroleum of iraq

In accordance with a Memorandum signed in March 2004 in Baghdad by ОАО LUKOIL and the Ministry of Petroleum of Iraq, LUKOIL has shipped the first consignment of humanitarian aid destined for territorial units of the ministry.

At a place called Ibrahim Al-Khalil (Iraqi-Turkish boarder), five ambulanced were handed over to North Oil Company representatives authorized by the Ministry. Presently will be delivered 5 powerful excavators and 5 wheel-mounted loaders.

By the end of the year a second contract will be signed as part of the humanitarian assistance program for supply of water and sulfuric acid carriers, tracked vehicles, windlasses and hydraulic cranes.

The equipment is purchased in Turkey by LUKOIL Overseas subsidiaries LUKOIL Mid East Operation and LUKOIL Overseas Service Ltd. The total value of the purchased equipment will reach 5 million dollars.
