U.K. independent oil company Circle Oil and Tunisian explorer EXXOIL have hired Oil Field Services Co. to drill two onshore wells in the southern African country.
The first well is scheduled to spud by August on the Zita prospect (Ras Mamour Permit). Drilling in the Serdouk prospect (Grombalia Pemit) is expected by year-end. Oil Field Services will use its Franks Cabot 900 rig to carry out the drilling.
Tunisia and Morocco are the sites for nine planned Circle wells in 2007.
