Oslo-listed Calgary oil company, Questerre Energy Corp., is examining a 500-plus metre gas column it found at Beaver River in British Columbia, shareholders were told Wednesday. 

Drilling to 1,930 metres was followed by wire-line logs and the finding of yet deeper Mattson sand which was found to be gas-bearing. 

This sand is that of the layer producing for the nearby A-2 well at a rate of over 4 MMcfd). No casing was run, although future testing is planned.
