2H Offshore award at OTC

2H Offshore, an Acteon company, was presented with a Spotlight on New Technology Award for its INTEGRIstick stress monitoring sensor at this year's Offshore Technology Conference in Houston. The prestigious awards are given to companies that demonstrate innovative technological advances within the industry. 2H's INTEGRIstick is used to monitor dynamic subsea structures where bending is a key source of fatigue.

2H Offshore integrated several INTEGRIstick sensors into an online riser monitoring system for Chevron's Tahiti platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

Metin Karayaka PhD, PE Project Coordinator for Chevron commented, "The INTEGRIstick has provided us with an effective tool to monitor key performance data. 2H has developed a valuable technology which will benefit our future integrity management endeavors."

The award was accepted on Monday May 4th, 2009 in Reliant Center by 2H Offshore’s Wolfgang Ruf, Manager of Integrity Monitoring and James Fowler, Senior Engineer.
