The directors of Exprodat and Getech have announced the acquisition of Exprodat Consulting Ltd by Getech Group plc, as also announced to the London Stock Exchange.

Exprodat will continue to trade as Exprodat, but as an integrated part of the Getech Group, which also includes ERCL (Exploration Reservoir Consultants) who were acquired by Getech in April 2015. We believe that our customers will benefit from the acquisition by access to a broader range of expertise, services and products designed to deliver exploration and development success.

Exprodat, the globally recognised oil and gas ArcGIS platform specialist, has developed a suite of ArcGIS-based software for the upstream oil industry, and has a proven track record in implementing Geographical Information Systems technology to integrate petroleum data with key business systems.

The directors believe the new combined Group will transform its customers’ business with globally recognised geoscience expertise and products, underpinned by Esri’s market-leading ArcGIS platform.
