Agora Oil & Gas appoints Bengt Lie Hansen as Non-Executive Director

Agora Oil & Gas says that Bengt Lie Hansen has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director.

"We are delighted that Bengt Lie Hansen, having more than 35 years experience from the oil industry, has joined the Board of Agora as a Non-Executive director," says Andrew Armour, Chairman of Agora Oil & Gas AS Board. "With Bengt's background, knowledge and experience we are looking forward to his contribution to Agora's further development."

Bengt Lie Hansen (62) was until this summer President of Statoil in Russia where he was working on the giant Shtokman project. Lie Hansen has a law degree and an MBA in Business and Administration and is employed as non-equity partner in the Oslo based law firm Selmer DA. Previously Lie Hansen has been working for the Ministry of Industry, Petroleum and Energy, Deminex and Norsk Hydro. In Hydro he was s Head of their Russian Operations and among others responsible for the Ormen Lange Project, finance and natural gas.
