Alderley Systems

Recently Alderley Systems completed and shipped three Produced Water Treatment skids for BP and Aker Solutions. The skids are destined for the Skarv and Idun Fields located between the Norne Field and Heidrun Field in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

The Produced Water Treatment System comprises of two deoiling hydrocyclones, a compact floatation unit (CFU) and 2 RM-25 absorption vessels. The system is designed to provide a maximum free oil-in-water outlet concentration of not more than 15ppmy, with a target level to achieve less than 5ppmy using RM-25 oil absorption media.

Also provided was a Drain Treatment System comprising of 1 compact floatation unit and 2 RM-25 absorption vessels. This system will remove hydrocarbons to a level of less than 5ppmy before discharge.

These skids started their journey carefully winding their way out of the Wickwar site and on to Sharpness Docks. From there they were transported to Rotterdam before continuing on to Korea where they will be fitted to a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO). Once this is complete the FPSO will be sailed to its final destination in the North Sea.
