ALMACO

ALMACO brings over 11 years of expertise in marine accommodations to Floatel International's offshore living quarters. Floatel Superior will feature ALMACO's Accommodation Systems and Food Handling Systems. The Accommodation Systems scope includes 440 single-bed, NORSOK-compliant cabins and 1,500 square meters of public areas such as corridors, lounges, and offices. Our Food Handling Systems deliveries include equipment supply for galley, mess, scullery, and coffee shop, as well as provision store panels. The engineering phase, as well as the construction and installation of cabins, have been completed. The public areas are currently in progress. The project will be delivered in full in the beginning of 2010.

ALMACO's contract with Keppel FELS encompasses engineering, material supply and installation for Accommodation Systems and Food Handling Systems. ALMACO's global presence and local strategic partnerships allow each center of excellence to deliver the results ALMACO is known for. Therefore, ALMACO's Finland and France offices handled the engineering phase, while ALMACO's Shanghai office assisted with sourcing. The installation of the modular cabins took place locally in two stages, which happened both at Bintan Offshore (Indonesia), a sister-company of Keppel FELS, and later on at Keppel FELS, Singapore. The local project management and support is provided by ALMACO's Singapore office.
