American Petro-Hunter-2

American Petro-Hunter says that the #1 Lutters Well oil well on the Poston Prospect, Trego County, Kansas, has encountered both oil and gas in Drill Stem Tests (D.S.T.) over a 46 foot interval. The oil encountered was excellent quality 35 degree light oil and tests resulted in 65% oil cut with 10% gas and mud with no water.

With these very favorable test results, the Company has made a casing election to set pipe following well logging. All preliminary indications are that the #1 Lutters Well will be a commercially viable oil well. Further calculations and tests will be conducted to determine the potential daily production rate that the well is capable of. The Company will announce further results as soon as they are available from the field.

The #1 Lutters well targeted oil in the Mississippi Dolomite and/or Cherokee sands. The location shows a significant 3D Seismic anomaly pinpointing an oil bearing zone. In addition, the 750 acre lease block has the potential for a multi-well program with 2 to 3 offset locations possible to fully exploit the acreage.
