ANEC acquires additional stake in Bayou Couba field in La.

American Natural Energy Corporation

American Natural Energy Corporation (ANEC) has reached an agreement with eight working interest owners to acquire an aggregate additional 5.875% share of the working interest in its Bayou Couba Field, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana.

ANEC will pay a total of US $144,500 in cash along with the issuance of 325,000 shares of its common stock for the acquisition of these interests. Issuance of the shares is subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
